Trinity Church - 1926
1926 Ernest M. Skinner organ, restored 2019, at Trinity Church, Copley Square, 206 Clarendon Street. Director of Music and Choirmaster Richard Webster will speak about both the Skinner organ in the Nave, and the smaller Chancel organ, which combine for a total of 113 ranks and 7,000 pipes (Boston’s second largest and most often heard instrument). We will hear Richard play each organ, and both combined, and learn what delights him about this instrument.

Church of the Advent - 1936
1936 Aeolian-Skinner organ, revoiced and restored in 1964, 2005, at Church of the Advent, 30 Brimmer Street, Back Bay Organist and Choirmaster Mark Dwyer will present a short talk on the unique features of the Aeolian-Skinner organ and its setting in the Victorian Gothic church, followed by a brief selection of music that will highlight the organ’s unique features and personality.

King's Chapel - 1964
1964 Charles Fisk organ at King’s Chapel, 58 Tremont Street, Boston. Music Director Heinrich Christensen will talk with us about this historic 1686 building and its acoustic features, then take us on a short tour of the musical capabilities of this first 3-manual tracker organ built in the U.S. during the 20th century.
How to Participate
Admission is free. A minimum donation of $25 per walker is requested. Larger donations encouraged! Donors contributing $500 or more will be recognized as Sponsors on the event hand-out and on the Spectrum website.
Covid Considerations
We strongly encourage participants to wear masks while indoors, and invite participants to find their comfortable level of social distancing while inside. Presenters are not likely to wear masks, though that is at their discretion. Mask wearing while walking from church to church is left to the discretion of participants.
